Trevor Boffone

Digital Marketing Manager

Trevor has a PhD from the University of Houston, an MA from Villanova University, and a BA from Loyola University New Orleans. He has taught for over 18 years, teaching a variety of subjects—Spanish, World History, Writing and LGBTQ studies—at almost every level (university, high school, middle school, elementary school, summer camps, after-school programs, you name it!). While teaching Spanish at Bellaire High School in 2018, Trevor began creating TikTok videos with his students, dancing and doing all sorts of silly classroom content. In the most unexpected plot twist of his life, Trevor went viral within hours of his first post, changing the trajectory of his life and leading to him catching the marketing bug.

In 2023, he transitioned out of the high school classroom and began formally working in marketing, serving as a Social Media Strategist and Manager at Fun Love Media (while also teaching at the University of Houston). As a social media strategist, he enjoys crafting unique campaigns for his clients by combining his experiences as a content creator, his expertise as a social media scholar and his chronically-online Millennial behavior.

As a content creator with over 750,000 followers, Trevor’s work has been featured on Good Morning America, Inside Edition, Access Hollywood, Localish, and Netflix’s Explained among numerous national and local Houston media outlets. While most of his content revolves around his classroom and his adventures around Houston, he has also gone viral for getting stranded in Japan, dancing in front of Center Point Energy during the Hurricane Beryl blackouts and refusing to cross the picket line during the 2023 WGA strike when The Drew Barrymore Show invited him to be a guest. Trevor is also an avid writer, having published 11 books, four of which are about social media and popular culture.

In his role at Like Minds, Trevor develops digital marketing strategies for clients, and manages campaigns across social media, e-mail marketing and digital advertising. He builds strong client relationships, oversees influencer marketing and leads a team of coordinators to deliver impactful, data-driven results.

When he’s not working, he’s at pilates, exploring Houston, trying new foods, cuddling with two cats and more. Trevor’s not-so-guilty pleasures include ABBA and all things quirky.
